I actually had a picture of both myself & Maia in this post for a week or so after I posted this. It was titled: “Receding Hairline with Maia.” I took it off though, like I always do, when a bout of self-consciousness overtook me. It’s a bummer you didn’t get to see it though, considering this post was in your honor.

Maia’s doing fine, as destructive as ever and still pissing in inopportune places, though thankfully not as often. (I can’t believe this is what I’m thankful for…boy have my standards fallen )

I’m jealous of all your books. I am slowing working on my collection. I am a bit of a snob though – I will only buy it if I know I will read it more than once.

I think you should take a picture of yourself in one of your hats. Seriously. Then you can prove to us that you don’t look like Frances McDormand.

Allison - Oh, I loved A Long Way Down, but none of my friends did, so I’m prepared to concede that it might not have been his best work. I also loved High Fidelity & About A Boy. I didn’t care for How To Be Good so much, however.

Double agreed about the dog and the hardwood. I once put Pledge on a broom before sweeping hardwood floors to help tame the fur situation. Big mistake. Huge. (nod to Julia in Pretty Woman) Especially before painting.
